| Omar visits Jagti township, inspects shifting of migrant families | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, April 28:
Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah today visited Jagti Township to take stock of the shifting of migrant families to the newly constructed complex.
The Chief Minister interacted with the families who have shifted, enquired of their welfare and asked about the arrangements put in place for their shifting.
He said government would take all measures to make the living conditions in the township more palatable for the migrant families.
The Chief Minister directed the concerned for providing every facilities to the migrant families for smooth shifting and taking over possession in the new complex.
The Relief Commissioner in his brief about the township said that 1520 flats have already been allotted to the beneficiaries. Out of these 840 families have taken the possession and the shifting has already started.
He said most probably the bulk shifting will take place on May 5 for Muhurat for Grah Parvesh.
The Chief Minister enquired about the functioning of school and hospital. He was informed that school has started admission of students while a mini health centre is working at the township and the hospital would be completed by August this year.
Minister for Revenue, Raman Bhalla, Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Nasir Aslam Wani, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, B B Vyas, Commissioner Secretary Revenue, Ajaz Iqbal, Relief Commissioner, Vinod Koul were present on the occasion.
