EJAC prepares to launch fresh offensive | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 28: Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) has decided to launch a fresh offensive for getting their long pending demands redressed. In a press note issued here today, it has been said that representatives of the constituent units of EJAC met in Jammu and took take stock of the present scenario. Employees have unanimously resolved to hold day long convention on May 11, 2011 at Guru Ravi Dass Sabha at Krishan Nagar outside GGM Science College, Jammu. Meeting resolved for holding principle and value based trade unionism, shunning of opportunism and unprincipled unity alongside combating tendencies of nepotism, favoritism, and culture of sycophancy in trade union leadership. It expressed deep regret over government’s inability to frame policy for regularization of daily rated workers. It further said that state government has not issued the order of contractual and Adhoc employees which where to be issued in August 2009 as announced by government. It is unfortunate that state government is using pretext of economic crunch even in timely release of DA installments when there is no economic crisis in respect of pay perks, salaries, allowances, accommodations and conveyance of ministers and legislators. Others who were present included ElAC leaders Ram Kumar Sharma, Balwan Singh Jamwal, Darshan Magotra, Babu Hussain Malik, Hari Singh, Yash Pal, K.A Diwani, Abdul Rashid, Bharat Bhushan, Darshan Angurana, Madan Sangral, Parlhad Singh Chib, Vijay Kumar, Pawan Kumar, Sewa Ram Rathore, Kewal Keiashan, Sham La!, Joginder Singh, Darshan Sharma, Ashfaq Hussain, Arjun Dass, Paw an Langeh, Yaqeen Mohd, Kewal Krishan Sharma, Vijay Kumar, Yash Pal and Joginder Singh.
