PDSF appalled over de-recognition of distance education courses | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 28: People Democratic Students Front (PDSF) has urged Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to take a relook at de-recognition of institutes which are providing courses under distance mode in Jammu and Kashmir. Addressing a press conference here today, state incharge of PDSF Raiz Atish said that government rejects their forms by saying that their degrees are not valid. He added that government issued notice in October 2005 and pointed out that degree courses through distance mode by other Universities will be invalid except IGNOU and DOEAC. Riaz added that government should permit students who have qualified examination through distance education. Atish demanded that the government should clear doubts within 10 days while adding that students would be forced to launch a mass agitation against the authorities concerned. Other who were present included Pervinder Singh, Daljeet Singh, Ikhlaq, Alka Jasrotia, Rushma, Preety Jasrotia, Arti, Rahul Sen, Nisha, Pallav Phoghtra, Sandeep Singh" Aljun Manhas, Renu Manhas and Nitish Manhas.
