Tagodia terms curtailment in Amarnath yatra a part of big
Conspiracy, warns against rehabilitation of militants
4/28/2011 11:44:40 PM
JAMMU, Apr 28: Warning against Muslim appeasement policies of the Union Government, VHP international general secretary Dr Parveen Bhai Tagodia, today alleged that this policy was responsible for all problems in the country.
The VHP leader who is on the two days tour of Jammu after reaching here this morning left for Rajouri to address the meeting of Dharam Raksha Nidhi. He later addressed another meeting at Sunderbani.
Addressing these meetings he said India is a Hindu Rashtriya as Hinduism is one of the ancient religions of the world which teaches humanism.
He said the migration of Hindus from Kashmir, present turmoil in J&K and other parts of country, increasing terrorism attacks and curtailment on annual Amarnath yatra is the result of this appeasement policy of the Union Government.
Expressing his total dismay over the curtailment of the Amarnath yatra period by 15 days this year, VHP leader said this is being done on the dictates of separatists and militants. When there is no curtailment in the yatra period of Muslim shrines in this country why every year controversy is being created on Amarnath yatra, he asked?
Dr Tagodia, while extending VHP’s full support to Baba Amarnath Yatri Niyas (BAYN) which has decided to start yatra as per tradition on June 15 and registration of pilgrims from May 1 on its own said that yatra will continue for two months from Jesht Purnima to Sawan Purnima and no alternation in its dates can be allowed.
The VHP leader is going to hold a meeting with office bearers of Niyas and other Hindu organizations here late in the night to discuss the future strategy. He said curtailment in yatra period is a part of a big conspiracy and VHP will fully back the Yatri Niyas in its struggle.
Strongly opposing the rehabilitation of surrendered militants, he said that the militants need no sympathy but those who took to arms and waged a war against the nation should be sternly dealt under law and `` bullet for bullet’’ is best answer to this.
Warning that minorities appeasement policy will not be tolerated in future, Tagodia said that for the harmonious development of the country there should be equal treatment with all and appeasement to none. He regretted that Government has failed to rehabilitate the displaced Hindus back in Valley and its all claims have proved totally hollow in this regard.
The VHP leader said over one billion Hindus of world are with the Hindus of Kashmir, Rajouri and Poonch and they need not be afraid of any one.
Dr Tagodia while recalling the glorious days of India said that in the ancient times when there were only two universities in England which is the mother of democracies in the world India at that time had 15 renowned universities.
