| Student, cop among 4 hurt in assault cases | | | JAMMU, Apr 28: Four persons, including a polytechnic college student and a cop, were wounded in different assault cases here today.
Saifullah, a polytechnic college student, was beaten by his classmates inside the college premises. He was admitted to the GMC hospital.In his statement, he told police that his classmates had beaten him because he possessed more knowledge and often scored over them, according to police sources.
In another assault case, cop Mehrajdin of Shopian, who at present was posted in Reasi district police lines, was injured. He too was hospitalised.Raj Kumar of Bakshi Nagar and Anchal Devi of Talab Tillo were injured in other assault cases.Cases in this connection were registered at the concerned police stations.
