6% DA approved for employees, 5 officers promoted, 2 CEs regularised | Changed draft of SVC Act to remain in public domain for one month | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, April 28: : The state Cabinet which met here today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah agreed to release 6 % DA in favour of the state government employees which was due to them since January this year. It was agreed to deposit the amount in GP fund till May and give it in cash along with pay from June onwards.
In one more significant decision , the cabinet approved a proposal for placing the draft changes, incorporating some vital amendments in the Jammu and Kashmir State Vigilance Commission Act 2011 in the public domain for inviting suggestions from cross section of stakeholders and members of civil society. It was decided that after the suggestions are examined, a fresh proposal may be brought before the cabinet for consideration. The cabinet also approved proposal for transfer of state land measuring 91 canals and two marlas under khasra No 2162 min, situated in the village Sunjwan, Tehsil and District, Jammu in favour of J&K Home Department for establishment of IRP 17th headquarters by the J&K Police. It also approved a proposal for implementation of stage-II of Uri-1 hydro electric project by NHPC limited. The Commissioner/Secretary, Power Development Department has been authorized to initiate the process of negotiation with the NHPC for working out a mutually acceptable methodology for handing over the projects transferred to NHPC for execution under the MoU of July 20th, 2000 as also the MoU/1- A for entrusting stage-II Uri-1 for implementation by NHPC. The cabinet also approved regularization of Chief Engineers viz G. R. Zargar, Chief Engineer PHE, Kashmir, and Ashok Kumar Koul, Chief Engineer PDC, Jammu in the grade of Rs 37400-67000, Grade Pay Rs 8700. The Cabinet also approved the promotion of 5 officers to the super time scale of IAS of Rs 37400-67000+Grade Pay Rs 10000 with effect from January 1st, 2011. These officers are Abdul Hamid Wani, Bhua Ditta Bhagat, Kachoo Isfandyar Khan, Sashi Dojee and Dr. G. R. Ghani. .
