Govt. surrenders before separatists: Kranti Dal | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, April 29: Kranti Dal (KD) has lashed out at government for succumbing before the separatists forcing it to revoke the Dogra certificate notification. Addressing protesters, state general secretary Kranti Dal, Pritam Sharma asked state government to explain the reasons why it revoked its earlier decision denying the Dogras their right, allowing them to get some concession in the recruitment in defense forces. He termed the step as ‘shameful’ as it has totally exposed the administration which claims to be providing justice to all the sections of the society. Sharma further said that it has become now clear that people of Jammu region irrespective of religion and cast consideration are being denied their rights to appease few individuals and a section of population, which has always worked against the interests of the country. He said that people of Jammu have always faced discrimination at the hands of the leadership and time has come to fight against the apathy of the successive regimes who ruled the state. “People of Jammu will not sit idle and allow their rights to get trampled. Time has come to fight for justice of this region”. Dal has said. Protesters further demanded that Central University should made functional immediately so that academic session could be started. “We warn the Chief Minister to take back the decision of revoking the order on Dogra certificate and give us our right or people would be forced to launch agitation”, he said. Those who addressed the gathering included, Himanshu Bali, Rakesh Mehta, Akhil Gandotra, Varan Gupta, Rattan Lal, Bal Krishan and Rakesh.
