| Parshuram Utsav from May 5 | | |  EARTLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, April 29: Bhagwan Parshuram Janam Utasv Shoba Yatra Samiti is celebrating annual Parshuram jayanti from May 5. As a part of celebrations, the organisation has already started series of Prabhat Pharies which started from January 1 and will conclude on May 1.
During the week long festivities, various activities are planned which include, procession (jhanki) displaying Bhagwaan Shree Parshuram’s Shastra accompanied by Bhajan Mandli from Raghunath Chowk at 7 PM on May 2. A grand and colourful Shobha Yatra of Bhagwan Shree Parshuram will be taken out on May 3 from Samiti office at 2 pm.
According to the handout issued by founder of the Samiti B B Raina, during the Shobha Yatra folk artists from twelve states of the country will perform in their traditional costumes to mark the day. Samiti has urged the people to participate in the religious event and seek blessing of the great warrior saint.
Hundreds of people from Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Mizoram, Haryana, Delhi and Manipur will take part in the series of events during the week long events, organised every year.
