| Nikhil, Jaideep, Vishal enter QFs of Sr Snooker | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, April 29: Nikhil Kapahi, Ishuk Chowdhary, Jaideep Manocha and Kamal Rohmetra along with Vishal Abrol and Sohail Khalid today reached the quarterfinals of senior snooker in the Jammu District Open Billiards and Snooker Championship at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium here.
Now, in the quarterfinals, to be played tomorrow, Nikhil Kapahi shall take on Vishal Abrol while Kamal shall face equally good Sohail Khalid. The opponents of Ishuk and Jaideep are yet to be decided out of two remaining pre-quarterfinals.
Earlier, in the pre-quarterfinals played today, Ishuk and Sohail had easy sailing over their opponents making it straight frame wins. However, Kamal Rohmetra, who had lost in the second round last year, underwent difficult moments before he defeated Ankush Dogra 3-2.
Other two winners of pre-quarterfinals round, Nikhil Kapahi beat Mukesh Kapahi 3-1 while Vishal Abrol registered a 3-1 win over junior snooker finalist, Nitin Sharma.
Today’s matches were officiated by markers, Surjit Singh Baloria and Rakesh Sharma.
