Interlocutors have pre-determined mindset for JK autonomy : JSM | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, April 29: Jammu State Morcha (JSM) has expressed serious doubts over the intentions of the Interlocutors. In a meeting of JSM held under here today under the Chairmanship of its President, Prof Virender Gupta, the members said the statement of the Interlocutors that they have not yet prepared any final draft with regard to the solution of Jammu and Kashmir State may be true. However, their statements and press briefing right from the day they were appointed by the Government of India and their previous back ground clearly show that they are having pre-determined mindset favouring greater autonomy for Jammu and Kashmir State and finding a solution that includes the agendas of National Conference and PDP. The interlocutors did not give any action plan to the State Govt or to the Govt of India for the concerns of the people of Jammu region, as they were giving for the Valley. Even in giving appointments to the various leaders of Jammu region and allocating time period for the appointments the attitude of the interlocutors was biased and discriminatory. At no stage the interlocutors hinted for a solution within the frame work of Indian constitution. JSM, therefore, appeals to the nationalist forces of Valley, Jammu and Ladakh to oppose any proposal of the Interlocutors that reverse the clock back, loosen the integration of Jammu and Kashmir State with India, increase the domination of Kashmir on Jammu and Ladakh regions. JSM re-emphasizes that the solution of Jammu and Kashmir does not lay in accepting and bowing down to the demands of one section of the Kashmiri population (that has ulterior communal agenda of ultimate separation of Jammu and Kashmir State from the Indian Union) and enforcing the same on the other regions and the people against their wishes and interests. Solution lies in meeting the aspirations of the people of all the three regions and in decentralization of political, administrative and financial power at the ground level by constituting district development councils. JSM is of the strong conviction that the permanent solution for the Indian part of Jammu and Kashmir can be achieved by the division of Jammu and Kashmir state into three separate political units.
