| 1st batch of Heritage trek expedition flagged of | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, APRIL-26:- Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Mr.Baseer Ahmed Khan flagged off 1st batch of National Heritage Trek expedition here today.
The expedition is being organized by the Youth Hostel Association of India (YHAI) in collaboration with Directorate of Education, Youth Services and Sports and tourism, J&K Government and Patnitop Development Authority.
DIG, Udhampur- Reasi range Mr. Jagjit Kumar, SSP, Udhampur, Mr. Surinder Gupta, State Director Adventure Promotion, YHAI, J&K State Branch, Mr. K.K Gandotra, Executive Engineer PDD, Chief Education Officer, District Youth Service & Sports Officer and other members of the organizing committee were present on the occasion.
The expedition comprises of 40 students of Government Educational Institutions along with one escort.
The trek expedition would pass through some of the most scenic and beautiful areas of Jammu and Kashmir touching unique heritage sites, green meadows and pastures, lofty mountains, thick deodar forests and clear natural water springs. The expedition starting from Panchari forests after passing through Sankri Devta, Nathatop, Patnitop,
Sudhmahadev would finally culminate at picturesque Maantalaie.
