Municipal election to be held after Panchayat elections, preparations started | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, April 29: The government has likely to held the Municipal Corporation Election after Panchayat election results. The District Congress Committee Jammu (U) has started to meet the block and ward office bearers and also review the performance of the last Municipal Corporation Election. In this regard the President DCC Jammu (U) alongwith its office bearers held a meeting of Rehari block number 1 on 28th April, 2011. the block, ward presidents alongwith their office bearers participated in the meeting. The President DCC Jammu (U) Om Chopra, Ex-MLA elaborated the purpose of the meeting and stress was given to identify the dedicated, popular and organizational oriented persons of the wards for the JMC election. Vijay Kumar Sharma-block President introduced the office bearers of the block and ward. Many of the speakers pointed out lack of developmental workers such as Lanes, Drains, Electricity and clean drinking water in the block. The block falls in the West Assembly Constituency and there is no representative of this constituency in the Assembly. So the people raised their voice to hold JMC election immediately so that the elected corporator project their demands and redress the burning problems of the people. The DCC Jammu (U) appreciated the efforts of the Block President in organizational work and arranging the well attended meeting.
