JKNPP demands probe into defence deals during NDA regime | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, April 30: Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) today demanded probe into the defence deals during National Democratic Alliance (NDA) rule. Addressing a press conference here today, Provincial Secretary JKNPP S D Khajuria said that the Central government should conduct an inquiry into the defence department as there is one state BJP MLA, among those who cross voted allegedly for monetary favours, happened to be Minister of State for Defence during the tenure of NDA Government. Khajuria further said that soon he will write a letter to the Prime Minister demanding an enquiry in this regard. JKNPP leader congratulated lone party MLC Syed Mohammad Rafiq Shah for clinching the award for honesty from social organisation ‘Abhiyan’. He said that at that crucial time when the MLAs of other parties were selling themselves for the sake of money and betraying the faith of the people of Jammu who voted them, Rafiq Shah MLC brought laurels to the state not only by clinching the award of honesty but also by winning the award of the best legislature. JKNPP leader informed that Shah received Rs one lakh in cash as award money.
