| Health Deptt closes 9 Ultra Sound Clinics | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, APRIL 30-Continuing its campaign of monitoring the activities of Ultra Sound Clinics which are operating un-lawfully without proper permission, the Health Department today closed
down nine such clinics at different places.
The teams headed by concerned Chief Medical Officers, six clinics were closed at Rajouri district. Similarly three such clinics were closed in district Samba. Besides, four Ultra Sound Clinics were closed in Jammu and five in Udhampur, the other day.
The Health Department has clear cut in instruction from the Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Mr Sham Lal Sharma to take stern action against all those clinics who were not fulfilling the required formalities. He has taken series of meetings with senior officers of the administration to strictly implement the INDT Act to maintain the sex ratio across the state.
