| Dharmarth Trust distributes prizes | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, April 30:
Jammu and Kashmir Dharmarth Trust today awarded cash prizes to all those religious and social organizations that displayed their overwhelming spirit during the Ram Navami celebrations and participated in the sacred Ram Rath Yatra with best Tableaux.
President of the Trust Thakur Divakar Singh and Secretary Dharmarth Trust Council Shashi Khajuria distributed the prizes.
Over Rs 18,000 was awarded as cash prizes to participants who excelled in tableaux making competition. Representatives of these organizations received prizes. First price was bagged by Deepak Kumar of Kala Manch, Pacca Gharat, Jammu while second and third prizes respectively were given to Sat Paul of Sanatan Dharam Natak Samaj of Dewan Mandir, Jammu and Parmanand of Ram Shakti MandaI of Peer Mitha, Jammu.
Special prizes were given to the representatives of Muslim Federation for according warm welcome to the Rath Yatra at Talab Khatikan Road, Jammu. Master Akram received Trophy and Shawl on behalf of the State Muslim Federation while Talak Niyaz Qazi District President received Trophy.
Speaking on the occasion, President of the Trust Thakur Divakar Singh and Secretary Shashi Khajuria thanked all the participants of the Jhankies for contributing their best efforts in making the Rath Yatra a grand success and asked them to continue their endeavors for such religious functions in future also. They also thanked the District Administration for making good arrangements for drinking water, Police, Electricity and cleanliness in the city.
