| 1 killed, 31 hurt in road mishaps | | | JAMMU/KATRA, Apr 30: A motorcyclist was killed and at least 31 Vaishnodevi pilgrims were wounded in separate road accidents here since last night.
Sanjeev Kumar, son of Balbir Kumar of Sarore, was going on his motorcycle when another motorcycle hit him near Sarore, resulting in his death.
Police sources said the other motorcycle was being driven by a BSF cop who was yet to be arrested.At least 31 Vaishnodevi pilgrims were wounded in a bus accident
near Katra late last night.The mishap occured at about 12.30 am when the ill-fated bus
(NL02B/0114) was on its way from Katra to Jammu, sources said.The injured were admitted to Katra hospital. However, two of the seriously injured were later referred to the GMC hospital, Jammu. They were identified as Atul Singh of Delhi and Dr Prahlad of Mumbai.Police had registered a case in this connection.
