| Two jawans hurt in Kashmir firing | | | Srinagar, Apr 30: Two Rashtriya Rifles (RR) jawans were injured early Saturday at Pulwama when militants opened fired at them.The operation at Inder Gadoora, about 28 km from here, was later
called off after reports that the militants had fled.Police sources said troops of 42 Rashtriya Rifles were laying a cordon around Inder Gadoora early Saturday when they fired upon by the hiding militants, causing injuries to two jawans who had been evacuated to army's base hospital in Srinagar.
The security forces had to move in cautiously to ensure that no collateral damage was caused to civilian life and property in the village. The militants later fled the spot, the sources added.
