DDC conducts extensive tour of tehsil Bishnah | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, MAY 01-District Development Commissioner, Jammu, Mr Sanjeev Verma conducted an extensive tour of Bishnah tehsil alongwith district officers of various departments to inspect the projects, schemes/works completed and under execution in the areas of tehsil Bishnah. During the tour to these areas, the DDC inspected various works/schemes viz meeting hall at Bishnah, augmentation of water supply scheme to Bishnah town, sub centre at Bana Chak, LIS Kothey Saini, construction of vented causeway over Garore nallah on Makhanpur to Pandorian road, Sarore-Arnia road under PMGSY, LIS Kheri, play field/stadium at Rehal etc. While conducting physical inspection of the projects/schemes, the DDC ascertained the quality parameters maintained during execution fo the works and regular checks exercised by the officers during their execution and said that the registers maintained by the officers be made available during inspection in certain cases. Measuring Books (MBs) were also checked during inspection. He stressed upon the R&B engineers to maintain standard parameters of quality control while executing the schemes/works and muster rolls and register of materials issued and utilized be maintained periodically. For introducing ‘information technology’ in the department, the DDC asked the officers/engineers that one percent out of the funds earmarked in the details estimates of the schemes/projects to utilized for the purpose so that all documents relating to execution of projects/schemes are properly maintained and put up for purpose of inspection. The DDC issued on spot instructions to the SE Hydraulic to prepare comprehensive DPR for development of parks, etc on the reclaimed areas alongside the Aik nallah in order to promote floriculture activities in the area and to prevent the said land form encroachment by the miscreants. Besides, the DDC also instructed the Tehsildar Bishnah to immediately vacate the pond Ratnal from encroachment and action be taken as per the Supreme Court’s Ruling against the encroachers.
