PDP demands transport for students stranded in AMU | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, May 1: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has asked government to intervene in arranging transport for students of Aligarh Muslim University who have not been able to get the bookings at short notice. In a handout issued here today, it has been stated that all the students of the university have been evicted from the hostels after the sudden closure of the campus. Spokesman of the party has said while other states had organized special trains for their students, Jammu & Kashmir authorities had failed to respond. He said that girl students are in particular facing difficulties in handling this situation. Spokesman said the government must immediately take up the matter with railway Ministry and organize the transport for the stranded students.
