| Youth congress felicitates Sarpanches, Panches | | | Early Times Report
RAMNAGAR, May 1: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Youth Congress (JKPYC) today organised a colourful programme at Village Bharnara wherein newly-elected Sarpanches and Panches were felicitated.
According to a press note issued here today, the function was presided over by senior Vice-President R.S.Pathania. Newly elected Sarpanches and Panches expressed their heart-felt gratitude to the coalition government for holding Panchayat elections in the state, after such a long time. They were also thankful to former Prime Minster Rajiv Gandhi, for introducing three-tier Panchayati Raj system across the country.
He further assured the Sarpanches/Panches that Youth Congress under the dynamic leadership of Rahul Gandhi is a standing like a rock behind them. Among others who were present on the occasion included Sharan Singh, Mulkh Raj Gupta, Jagmohan, Bikram Singh, Yog Raj, Raj Kumar, Hans Raj, Dewanu, Capt. Baldev Singh, Mansukh Chand, Sukhdev Singh, Charan Dass, Manzur Ahmad, Mohd. Farooq, Tirath Ram, Hans Raj Sharma, Rattan Chand, Romesh Singh and Girdhari Lal.
