JAMMU, May 01: Three gamblers, including two brothers, were arrested by police on Chakwa bridge near Batote on the Bhaderwah road today.An amount of Rs 81,800 was recovered from their possession, SP, Ramban, Anil Magotra said.
He said acting on a tip-off, cops apprehended the three persons while they were gambling on Chakwa bridge.
They were identified as Mohammad Latief, son of Mehtabdin of Bhaderwah Morh, Batote, his brother Mohammad Sadiq of Bonwari, Batote, and Mohammad Arif, son of Abdul Qadoos of ward No 7, Batote.
A case was registered against them under the gambling Act.
