| 21st meet of Morning Walk and Tree Talk held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, May 1: The initiative of Tree familiarity, tree conservation and knowledge about herbal plants locally available nicknamed as ‘Morning walk and Tree talk’, has since continued and the 21st meet of the ‘Morning Walk and Tree Talk’ was held again in Green Belt Park at Gandhi Nagar on this Sunday the 1st of May among scores of morning walkers. The morning walkers after enjoying the Sunday feast (offered every Sunday by one of the morning walkers) gathered around the organizers to listen to the ‘tree talk’ that included valuable information about scores of herbal plants locally available. Since tree plantation period is over the talk centered on herbal plants, their plantation, curative properties and their usefulness in daily life.
CM Seth, Shiv Dutt Sharma, HN Patwari, Subhash Gupta, Gaurang Sharma, Vikram Gour and PC Kapoor participated in the talk and shared their knowledge about different herbal plants e.g. Banna, Alvera, It-sit, Harad, Gandah, Brenkar, Parijaat, Aq, Thore, Bhumi amla, Neem Glo and Amaltas.
Scores of Morning walkers including Bansi Lal Gupta (Ex Municipal Counselor) , Jugal Mahajan, DD Khajuria Er Sk Gupta, Mohinder Gupta, Er KB Sharma, Er Vir Sharma, Balram Arora attended the meet .
Morning walkers suggested that in each of the Parks being developed by ‘ parks and Garden’ agency should reserve a corner inside the park for plantation of the Herbs of common use that are locally available.
