Statistical Students demand share in govt. jobs

Jammu Statistical Students Association (JSSA), University of Jammu alleged injustice and discrimination to them by state Govt. during recruitment of statistical jobs in different departments. They also alleged lack of policies for the future settlement of Statistical students. Highlighting the problems of Statistical Students, Vikas Sharma, chairman of the association said that Statistical students have been ignored by the successive state govt during the recruitment of senior / junior Statistical assistant. He said that these posts are created specially for those who have knowledge of statistics but applications for recruitment are invited from students of Physics, Maths and other disciplines. He further demanded the introduction for Statistics subject at secondary school level and also demanded introduction of PG Statistics in M.A.M. College as declared under the regime of Mufti. He also threatened to start mass protest if their demand would not be consider by the state govt.
