LeT ultra, sympathiser held in Poonch | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 1: A Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militant and a sympathiser were today arrested by a joint column of police and army in Poonch. On the disclosure of the arrested militant, security forces also busted a LeT hideout at Khanetar and recovered arms and ammunition from there, police sources said. Sources said acting on a specific information that a LeT militant had hidden himself in his house at Surankote, security forces conducted a raid and arrested him. During his interrogation, he disclosed the name of a militant sympathizer active in Surankote and accordingly police launched a manhunt and arrested him too. His identification was established as Mohammad Hanief. Their interrogation was in progress, the sources added. On the disclosure of the arrested militant, security forces busted a LeT hideout in Khanetar forests and recovered one rocket launcher, its one shell, 207 pika rounds, 98 AK rounds and one GPS. |
