Govt has failed to solve problems of common masses: PDP

Srinagar, May 2: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today flayed the coalition government headed by National Conference for its failure to provide basic amenities to the people in party card holders meeting of Eidgah segment headed by district president Mohd Ashraf Mir and secretary coordination Ab Hameed Kosheen .
Addressing a meeting of the party card holders of Eidgah assembly segment, PDP leaders pointed out that worst condition of roads in this area speaks about the total failure of the state government to solve day today problems of the common masses. They said that during the last more than two years, this regime has done nothing to provide basic amenities to the people.
While pointing towards problems being faced by the people, PDP leaders said that performance of this regime confined only on papers. They said that government was particularly about press statements and photo sessions but on grounds governance was not visible.
They further said that local people have repeatedly drawn attention of the authorities towards worst conditions electric poles and cables in the Eidgah assembly segment but no attention has been paid to solve such problems of the people.
Calling upon the party workers to effectively highlight problems of the people, PDP leaders said that except promises the present has done nothing to solve ever increasing problems of the common masses.
Pointing towards scarcity of ration in urban as well as rural areas, PDP leaders regretted that this matter was brought to the notice of the authorities a number of time but no concrete action has been taken so far. They said that majority of the population especially the poor people have been facing hardship due to non availability of ration in the depots runs by the CAPD department. They warned that PDP would come on streets to solve problems of the masses.
Party leaders further said that promise of the state government to provide uninterrupted power supply is also remained only on papers. They said that power situation has been deteriorating with every passing day.
In the meeting it was decided that party workers would effectively highlight problems of the people on all platforms to force the government to take some steps to solve these problems.
