Congress party workers of Ward No 7 discussed developmental issues | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 2: A meeting of Congress party workers from Ward No. 7 (Christian Colony) was held in which various developmental issues besides political scenario prevailing in Jammu due to cross voting by BJP MLAs in recent council elections were discussed. The meeting was organised by Thomas Khokhar, a senior Congress leader and contested candidate of JMC election, where as Narinder Sharma Secretary PCC was the Chief Guest. While speaking, Secretary PCC Narinder Sharma criticised the BJP MLAs for cross voting in recent council elections. He said that these MLAs have betrayed the voters in their respective constituencies as well as general masses. Earlier, Thomas Khokhar thanked Secretary PCC for compound wall in graveyard, Danis Gate, Jammu as the said work got completed with Rs. 2.64 lacs. He demanded regularization of Khasra No. 330 &331 by JDA as Christian colony is century old colony of Jammu city. The other issues raised during the meeting were as early completion of lying of pipes by NBCC, retaining original status of ladies vocational centre, adequate lightning arrangement in Christian cemetery.
