| Scholarships over Rs two lakh distributed among students | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JOURIAN, May 2: Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Jourian S L Bindroo distributed scholarships over rupees two lakh among various students of Primary and Middle classes in Paragwal area.
Bindroo visited various schools in the Paragwal area and distributed scholarships among the male and female students belonging to Scheduled Caste category in presence locals.
The schools where the scholarships were distributed include Girls Middle School Paragwal, MS (Boys) Paragwal, MS Sajwal, MS Pindi, MS Bela Jamana etc. Besides, Middle Schools, students of different primary schools falling in the jurisdiction of these Middle Schools were also benefitted.
The scholarships were handed over to the parents of the students in presence of members of Village Education Committees and prominent citizens.
At the primary level, male and female students were provided Rs 450 and Rs 675 respectively while at Middle level, male students got Rs 900 whereas female students got Rs 1350.
Addressing on the occasion in different schools, ZEO S L Bindroo said that beneficiaries have been selected for scholarships on the basis of their percentage in last examination passed as well as attendance percentage more than 80 percent) in the last year. He said amount worth Rs 7.46 lakh would be distributed as scholarship among the students of Jourian zone.
