BJYM protest against withdrawal of order on Dogra certificate
5/2/2011 8:52:26 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, May 2: Hundreds of activists of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), under the leadership of their state president Munish Sharma, today held massive protest and burnt the effigies of Chief Minister, separatist leader Ali shah Geelani, Raman Bhalla and Jammu-based Congress leaders over the withdrawal of government order providing for the issuance of “Dogra Certificate”.
Munish Sharma, while speaking on the occasion, said that the recent decision of the NC-Congress coalition is a mater of shame whereby the government has issued an order for revocation of “Dogra Certificate” under pressure from anti-national elements like Sayed Ali Shah Geelani without caring for the self respect, feelings and interests of the people, especially unemployed youth of Jammu province.
He said it appears that Omar Abdullah is not running the government, rather Syeed Ali Shah Geelani is running the state government. Citing the instance of reducing the annual Shri Amarnath Yatra by 15 days and now the state government has issued an order for revocation of Dogra Certificate providing relaxation in physical measurement to Dogras irrespective of religion in armed forces is indicative of the remote control exercised by anti-national elements and sentiments on the government.
. He said that BJYM will not tolerate this communal and divisive approach of the state government and the anti-national forces and will fight till order of issuance of Dogra Certificate is not issued by state government.
He asked the congress ministers especially from Jammu to clarify their stand on the issue of Dogra Certificate and asked them to shed the “Kursi Prem” and come openly in support of the brave dogras rather than sticking to the chair.
BJYM national executive member Aseem Gupta, state general secretary Parimoksh Seth, state vice-presidents Vipin Shastri, Surinder Choudhary and Vijay Choudhary, distt. president Munish Khajuria, treasurer Ajay Vaid, secretary Vikas Sharma and Parvesh Kumar, state executive members Karan Sharma, Karunesh Gupta, Jaideep Sambyal, Tarun Sharma, Mnumanav Mahajan, Ajay Magotra, Sham Lal, Jyoti Dogra, Ashish Sahrma, Varun Magotra, Deepak, Raj Kumar, Harjeet Singh, Ajit Angral, Dinesh Gupta, Balwan Singh and others took part in the protest demonstration.
