| Cooperative School Celebrates Children’s Day | | |
JAMMU | NOV 18 Cooperative Public School celebrated Children’s Day with gaiety and fervor at Trikuta Nagar Extension. The function was started with the lighting of the traditional lamp by the chief guest and the other dignitaries. This was followed Saraswati Vandana by the budding artists of the school. A fancy dress competition was also organised in which students of different classes participated. Prerna Bhat of Nursery got first prize in fancy dress competition. Dogri items, Punjabi Bhangra and Gidda, Hindi songs were also presented before the audience. A skit in Dogri was also presented on the occasion, which was appreciated by one and all. Suresh Abrol, Secretary Board of Directors Cooperative school of Education and Research Institute, highlighted the outstanding academic, co-curricular and Extra Curricular achievements of the school. Cooperative Public School, owing to its academic achievements, infrastructural achievements, congenial teaching and learning ambience has been adjudged as one of the best higher secondary school in Jammu. Danish Dewan, a student of the school enthralled the audience with his melodious voice by singing “Toota Toota…..”. Young child depicting Baba Ramdev was one of the attractions in the function. Later, the prizes were distributed among the meritorious students of the school. National Anthem was also recited on the occasion. Prominent among those present during the function includes Rajinder Arora, MD, JK Channel, Rajesh Sharma, Chairman Cooperative Union, B S Manhas, Director Cooperative Society, Madam Sarita, Principal Cooperative School, Board of Directors of School, Staff, Students and their parents.
