| Dr. Sheikh receives “World Medal of Freedom” award | | |

The government board of editors of the American Biographical Institute, Raleigh America has conferred citation of honour to Dr. G.Q. Sheikh, Professor. Government post Graduate College of Education, Canal Road for his significant accomplishments in the field of education.
Dr. Sheikh has been selected to receive the ‘world medal of freedom’ which is of a limited nature offered to short-list selection of men and women internationally. Dr. Sheikh’s selection has been made after scrutinizing the list of two-million people across the world and stands one among 50 recipients for this prestigious award. Born at Sarnal, Anantnag, Kashmir, Dr. Sheikh shifted to Srinagar for higher education and then did his M. Phil and PhD from Himachal Pradesh University. Shimla. He has authored more than ten books and published scores of research articles and papers in leading Journals and newspapers.
