AS Jammu Cantt, JP World share basketball titles | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 03: Sailing on superb game played by Misra twins of Love and Kush, Army School Jammu Cantonment today clinched the under-14 boys title in inter-school basketball tournament of Jammu district, organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at Mini Stadium Parade, here. In the final, Army School registered a big 22-02 win over MHAC Nagbani. Hiving identical features and heights, both these tall cagers, Love and Kush, confused the table referee, who kept on asking who has scored the basket. Since the game revolved around them throughout the four quarters, Love contributed five and Kush four points in team’s total of 22. Usman, who added two points, helped make it a one-sided affair winning the title clash 22-02. Guided by teacher incharge Balwant Singh, AS Jammu Cantt hardly missed the opportunities came their way that too under scorching heat. Earlier, in the semi-finals, Army School beat Army School Domana, again in a one-sided contest 17-02. In other semi-final, MHAC Nagbani registered 20-09 win over KC Public School. Meanwhile, JP World School claimed the boys’ under-17 title outplaying MHAC Nagbani 30-24 in a well contested high scoring final. In the semi-final, MHAC Nagbani beat JK Public School 34-15 while JP World outplayed KC Public 28-09.
