Samba Cricket: Anil helps Suchani win by 5 wkts | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 03: The all round performance from Anil today guided Suchani Cricket Club (SCC) to a comfortable five-wicket win over Ghagwal Cricket Club (GCS) in the ongoing District Samba Cricket Tournament at General Baj Singh Stadium, Barori in Samba. Earlier, GCC won the toss and decided to bat first made 151 runs losing all their wickets in 25.4 overs of 30 overs game. In reply, Suchani overhauled the opponent total in 26.4 overs for the loss of five wickets. Bhanu Partap was top scorer with 28 runs but Vinay played fine innings of 30-ball 24 runs including two boundaries. From Suchani Club, Naginder Singh claimed three wickets for 25 runs in five overs he bowled while Anil took two for 21. Later, chasing a target of over five-run per over, Suchani Club made 152 runs sparing 3.2 overs of their innings with five wickets in hand. Anil played superb innings of 46 (off 53 balls, 6x4) runs, followed unbeaten knocks from Gourav (29) and Nitesh (27). Gourav bagged two wickets from GCC while Vicky and Sunny shared apiece each. For his all-round performance, Anil was obvious choice for the man of the match title. In today’s match, Sunny Singh and Zorawar Singh were umpires while Vinay Singh maintained the score. NEXT MATCH: Patti Cricket Club shall take on Sanura Cricket Club tomorrow.
