| Udhampur adm seeks citizen’s support for peace | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMUPR, May 3: Following a blast that rocked Udhampur town, Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Baseer Ahmed Khan convened a meeting with representatives of political parties, social and religious organization, prominent citizens and commerce and trade association here today.
Senior Superintendent of Police Udhampur, Surinder Gupta was also present on the occasion. During the meeting, DC asked the people to keep a strict vigil on nefarious activities of suspicious elements. He said that with the active cooperation and support of the citizens of Udhampur. We have to defeat the evil designs of such elements who are hell bent to create communal discord and spread violence. He assured that the support of the citizens is indeed indispensable for this purpose.
SSP, while speaking on the occasion, said that people of Udhampur are peace loving and would never give a chance to vested interests to shatter the peaceful social fabric in the district. He cautioned the people not to fall prey to anti national elements and help the police in identifying the miscreants who are involved in such acts.
