| TUC pays tribute to Indira Gandhi | | | JAMMU | NOV 18 The J&K Trade Union Congress under the presidentship of Pt. Sewa Ram Sharma celebrated the 89th Birth Anniversary of Late. Indira Gandhi were Janak Raj Gupta, Ex-MP was the chief on the occasion. While paying rich tributes to Late. Leader chief guest highlighted the role played by her in nation building and sacrificed her life for the unity and national integration. For her yeomen, service she was honoured with Bharat Ratna in 1972. Seva Ram while paying rich tributes to late Gandhi termed her a great champion of poor and down trodden. He said after her demise labour class especially of PSUs became miserable due to the wrong policies of the successive governments. On the occasion Janak Raj Gupta was nominated chairman of the J&K Trade Union Congress. A number of senior leaders from union PSUs PHE, department, Floriculture department PDD etc also spoke on the occasion raised their burning issues like release of COLA(DA), pensionary benefits, C.P fund etc. at an earliest.
