| Omar tweets counsel to Obama | | | srinagar: As if everything was right in the state that Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah started giving counsel to American President, Obama.
"So now that Obama fans think he's ensured his next term. Does he have to waste all those millions actually campaigning?" he tweeted.
"OBL (Osama bin Laden) buried at sea. The conspiracy theorists couldn't have asked for a better start. Bring it on now!!!!!!!!" read one of his tweets.
This one was the pick: the chief minister reacting to sister Hinna's tweet who asked him to be honest and tell if Tere Bin Laden crossed his mind, at all? "It did. I hope the kukkads are fine," Abdullah replied, referring to the lead character in the movie.
On a serious note, he said that perhaps the fact that this (operation) couldn't have happened without the active involvement of Pakistan or the ISI "Will help cool things".
The Osama killing led to a debate on Omar's page with people giving different suggestions and versions. "Just saw Osama's pic. They're showing it on TV. It is definitely him! But you're right, why bury him with such urgency" tweeted Farah.
Another twitterati Fahad Shah hoped Osama's killing wouldn't disrupt the Valley situation.
Samrat Dasgupta feared that the killing would instigate a backlash from fanatics. "You please keep our people in J&K safe and stay safe yourself", he tweeted.
Debkanchan Mitra hit out at Pakistan interior minister Rehman Malik calling him a 'joker'. "Biggest news Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik says India is funding Taliban", he tweeted. |
