| Two killed in road accident near Manda | | | JAMMU: A motorcyclist and his pillion rider were killed after their mobike was hit by some unknown vehicle near Panj Peer, Manda, here this evening.
Police sources said some unknown vehicle hit a mobike (JMU/2343) near Panj Peer, resulting in the death of the motorcyclist and the pillion rider.
The dead were identified as Sahil Kumar, son of Satpal of New Plots, and Sahil, son of Mohan Lal of Prem Nagar, New Plots.
The bodies were kept in the GMC mortuary where post-mortem would be conducted on them tomorrow. Later, these would be handed over to their family members for last rites.
Police had registered a case in this connection.Meanwhile, a car operator was today wounded critically after his vehicle was hit by a rashly driven vehicle on the Jammu-Pathankote road in Kathua.
Sources said Sushil Gupta, son of Fakir Chand of Hiranagar, sustained injuries when his car (JK08B/5440) was hit by a speedy vehicle near Kathua.He was admitted to hospital. |
