5/4/2011 10:15:14 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, May 4:- Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party president and MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia has announced to launch an agitation to protest against the government decision to revoke ‘Dogra Certificate’.
Accusing the Congress of succumbing to separatist and National Conference ‘Blackmail’ on Dogra Certificate issue, Mankotia announced the decision of the party to hold protest demonstration from May 11 at District headquarters starting from Udhampur District Headquarter.
He said that people of Jammu know the anti-Jammu policies of National Conference but the Cong led UPA government’s decision to bow before the separatist has hurt the sentiments of nationalist Dogra community across the Jammu region.
NPP president said that party under the leadership of its supremo Bhim Singh has always fought for the rights of oppressed Jammu people and would not allow the anti-Jammu forces to succeed in its plan to divide Jammu on communal lines. Blaming the Congress and BJP for the disempowerment of nationalist people of Jammu region, Mankotia said that both the parties have always conspired against the people of Jammu and exploited their sentiments and emotions.
He said that the decision of the government to revoke ‘Dogra Certificate’ order is an attempt to divide the people of Jammu lines and separatist in alliance with so-called Mainstream parties joined hands to snatch even a miniscule concession to the people of Jammu.
He asked the people to unite and support the movement launched by Panthers Party for the rights of Jammu people.
Prominent among others present were S. Daljeet Singh, chairman Panthers Trade Union(PTU), Shakti Gupta, state president PTU, Sunil Sharma, District President, Jammu, Shanker Singh Chib and Anita Thakur.
