| Basketball: KC Public faces Model Academy in U-14 final | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 04: KC Public School shall take on Model Academy in the final of girls’ under-14 inter-school basketball tournament of Jammu district, organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at Mini Stadium, Parade, here tomorrow.
Earlier, in the semi-finals, played today, Model Academy defeated JK Public School 4-0 in a one-sided contest while KC Public outplayed MHAC Nagbani (8-0) in similar fashions to make it to the final.
In another preliminary round match, played this morning, JK Public registered a big 14-02 win over Army School Domana.
Semis line-up drawn in U-17
Meanwhile, semifinals position has been cleared in under-17 category with the entry of MHAC Nagbani, Army School Domana, Army School Jammu Cantonment and Jodhamal Public School in last four stages.
Now, in the semi-finals, to be played tomorrow, MHAC Nagbani shall take on AS Jammu Cantt while AS Domana shall be playing against Jodhamal.
Earlier, in the quarterfinals, MHAC Nagbani beat KC Public 18-5 while AS Jammu Cantt downed St. Peters Higher Secondary School, Karan Bagh 11-02. In other quarterfinals of the day, Jodhamal Public School outplayed Government Higher Secondary School Mubarak Mandi 5-0 and Army School Domana blanked Model Academy 26-0 in a one-sided contest.
In another match of the day, MHAC Nagbani registered a 7-5 win over JK Public School.
