Shafiq Mir, a senior journalist has been elected supanch of his native village unopposed. He was nominated unanimously head of his native village by one and all . This information was given by concerned returning officer on Wednesday in block Bafliaz of border district
Poonch . He said , Shafiq Mir has been declared unopposed surpanch of Poshana village in block Bafliaz of border district Poonch as no candidate filled nomination papers against him on the last date of nomination which ended on May 4th . The Panchayet elections of Block Bafliaz are scheduled to be held on 25th of May .
Giving details , sources said that a senior journalist , Shafiq Mir was unanimously elected by his native villagers as Surpanch of the village with an aim to bring an educated and visionary man in the
Panchayet system . Poshana village in Block Bafkliaz of border district Poonch falls in the feet of Pipanmjaal Mountain along Mughal Road . It is interesting to mention here that this village is still with out electricity, medical facility, road and telephone connectivity . Despite all odds and hardships, this village has produced the people who have made a difference in many fields of life.
