JMC intensifies drive, seals another tutorial

JAMMU, May 4: Under instructions from S C Sawhney Commissioner Municipal Corporation Jammu, while further continuing and intensifying the drive the Enforcement Wing of Jammu Municipal Corporation led by Chief Enforcement Officer sealed the Tutorial namely PIE EDU Point Home Tutor of Ajay Mehra S/o OM Parkash at 14 B/C Gandhi Nagar, Jammu under the provisions of J&K Control of Building Operation Act, 1988.
The owner of the tutorial has also defaced the public property by pasting / erecting banners / posters of said tutorial at different places. The said operation was carried out with the active co-operation and assistance of police force from Gandhi Nagar, Police Station, Jammu.
Besides this, the team had visited the areas of City Chowk, Shallamar Road, below Gumat, Gurudawara Sunder Singh Road etc to clear footpaths / pavements and seized the articles / goods like readymade garments, parts of motor cycles, chairs, umbrellas, stands, tyres, tubes, sign boards etc. which were placed by the shopkeepers / vendors by encroaching upon footpaths / pavements.
Further the team also seized the reharies which were plying without license / found stationary causing inconvenience to the pedestrians and obstructing the free flow of vehicular Traffic.
Apart from this, the Municipal Veterinary Officer along with field staff conducted the drive against the adulteration of milk and visited the areas of Gandhi Nagar, Nai Basti, Satwari, Digiana, Gangyal, Kunjwani etc.
During the drive 108 milk cans were checked, out of which 2 milk cans which were of sub-standard quality / not fit for human consumption were destroyed on spot.
The team had also lifted 11 stray animals from the areas of Panjthirthi, Circular Road, Jewel, Bakshi Nagar, Janipur, Talab Tillo, Gumat, Narwal, Railway Road, Gandhi Nagar, Satwari etc., and impounded the stray animals in Municipal Cattle Pound.
A total fine of Rs. 5115.00 was charged from the erring milk vendors & owners of stray animals. Also an amount of Rs. 4700.00 was also realized as auction fee of the Stray Animals.
