| Slathia distributes 9.58 lakh under IHSDP, drought relief | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
SAMBA MAY 4- Minister for Industries and Commerce Mr. S. S. Slathia today distributed cheques worth of Rs. 3,36,000 among 28 beneficiaries of Ramgarh town under Integrated Housing Slum Development Project (IHSDP) at Gra Slathian.
Meanwhile, the Minister also distributed 750 cheques worth Rs. 6,22,705 among beneficiaries of Ramgarh, Vijaypur, Bari-Brahamana of District Samba on account of relief for people affected by the drought in 2009.
Deputy Commissioner Samba, ADC, ACR and other senior officers accompanied the Minister.
Later, Mr. Slathia reviewed the financial and physical achievements of Samba district at a high level meeting held at District Development Commissioners’ office in Samba.
DDC, Samba, Mubarak Singh, highlighted achievements of different development sectors.
Addressing the meeting, the Minister laid stress on Minor irrigation, rural sanitation, healthcare facilities and quality education. He exhorted upon the CAPD department to use available resources judiciously to meet the increasing demand of the people in view of damaged wheat crop due to yellow rust. He also directed the district administration to rationalize the distribution of fertilizers according to the landholdings so that there is equitable distribution and none feel aggrieved.
