Samba Cricket: Raghu, Kavhi script PCC win | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SAMBA, May 04: The duo of Raghu and Kavhi today scripted a big five wicket win of Patti Cricket Club (PCC) to move into the next round of the ongoing District Samba Cricket Tournament at General Baj Singh Stadium, Barori, here. In today’s first round tie, Raghu bowled deadly spell while Kavhi batted brilliantly to help PCC defeat Sanoora Cricket Club (SCC) easily.
Earlier, PCC won the toss and opted to field. Batting first, SCC bowled out for 109 runs in 18.4 overs of the 30 overs game. Ajit Singh made highest 32-ball 40 runs including four sixes and three hits to the fence while Anwar contributed 23 runs coming off 24 deliveries. From PCC, Raghu bowled deadly spell taking away four important wickets for just 10 runs in four overs. Lucky also did a fine job clinching three wickets for 20 runs. In reply, PCC chased the target making 112 runs for five in just 10.2 overs. Kavhi played quick-fire innings of 19-ball 44 runs studded with three sixes and six fours, followed by Lucky, who contributed unbeaten 17-ball 19 runs including four hits to the fence. From SCC, Sandeep and Sunny claimed two wickets each. Later, for his four wickets haul, Raghu was adjudged man of the match. Today’s match officiated by Udhayvir Singh, Sunny Singh while Vinay Singh was scorer. NEXT MATCH: Bari Brahmana Cricket Club shall take on Vijaypur Cricket Club.
