Two MLAs to present replies of show cause notices to media today | Questions raised on parametres, silence on narco tests for all 11 | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 4: As the countdown for presenting the replies on show cause notices begins, at least BJP MLAs out of the suspended lot have decided to make their replies public first through media rather than directly submitting it to high command and the Disciplinary Action Committee as desired under the normal procedure. The key points that will rally in the replies of suspended MLAs shall focus on the parameters adopted by the high command in identifying them out of of a total number of 11 as also the silence maintained by the party leadership on their demand 'narco test' demand for all the MLAs. The MLAs may also indicate floating of a new party in the event of 'stern action' against them by the high command. In an interesting move related to the developments within BJP over cross voting issue, which once again reflects a defiant posture and mood of the MLAs against the high command, two of them for now have decided to make their replies public through media before actually they submit it to the concerned quarters. Baldev Raj Sharma of Reasi and Lal Chand of Bani will address the media tomorrow to divulge what they explained in their written replies to the high command. While this only suggests the defiant mood and anger of the MLAs against the high command, sources said the reason they are attributing to the move is that since they came to know of the show cause notices having been served to them only through the media soon after all of them paraded in front of the national president Nitin Gadkari, they deem it proper to express their position through media first. Sources say though the move is well considered one , connoting defiance but overtly the duo shall try to project it as a damage control exercise in terms of their image. They would try to clarify their positions in front of the media once gain though they have done it earlier also but the difference this time is that they have stated all that in written replies. The intent of speaking before the media is to steer clear of the 'tainted' image in Jammu where it matters, sources said. However, the focus of all the suspended MLAs in their wriiten replies would be on the question of criteria and parametres adopted by the leadership in isolating them in the guilty lot. More importantly, sources said the MLAs would raise this point vehemently in the replies that why high command chose to maintain silence on their demand of conducting narco test for all the 11 members and that why the four members identified as inncocent so far have not come forth on this till date, despite suggestions having come from the high command to them that they should express willingness on conducting the brain mapping test, sources added. The MLAs may also hint at floating a new group or party in the event of high command taking 'stern action' which in all likelihood is their termination from the party. On the other hand, even as the 7 suspended MLAs of BJP have made up their mind to reply the show cause notice slapped on them by the high command, the latter is also said to be all set to take 'decisive action' against them in the cross voting matter. The 'final action' from the high command is expected to be annouced any day after May 10.
