| Army school Yol cantt celebrates annual day | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 5: Army School, Yol Cantt which is a part of Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) AHQs, Delhi has been imparting ‘Quality Education at Affordable Cost’ to the wards of Army personnel since 1983.
It is managing 123 Army Schools/Army Public Schools and 13 Professional Colleges spread throughout the country. The 123 Army Schools are divided in six Commands. Army School, Yol Cantt is one of the 34 schools under Western Command.
Army School, Yol Cantt celebrated its Annual Function for the academic session 2010-11 with great pomp and show on 5th May, 2011. The occasion was graced by the Patron of the School Maj Gen V K Yadav, SC ,Chief of Staff HQ 9 Corps.
The event commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest Maj Gen V K Yadav, SC , followed by the welcome address by the Principal Army School Yol Cantt, A K Ambastha. Variety of cultural programmes were presented which included folk dances of four states, Mime, Co-Co Jumbo dance, Save Environment, Robot Dance etc by students of all classes that mesmerized the audience. The presentations by the little artists not only entertained the spectators but also gave a message of love and harmony.
The Annual Report alongwith Prize Distribution for various categories like the Best Student, Academics, best teacher were also declared.
