Kuldeep Verma’ martyrdom should be honoured by state: Arora
“We still remember Britishers disgrace to Shaheed Bhagat Singh”

Jammu, May 5:-
Equating the gruesome cremation of Kuldeep Verma, the martyr of Amarnath land row at par with that of Shaeed Bahgat Singh whose mortal remains were subjected to disgrace by the British forces, the BJP has warned that in the recent case now the state government stands the same testimony.

“We remember the days when British government instructed to cremate Sardar Bhagat Singh and others during mid night the same is followed by state government and it cannot absolve from responsibility,” said BJP spokesperson ramesh Arora while addersing a press conference here today.
Recalling the time in 2008, Ramesh Arora said 23rd July, 2008 will remain as a day of ‘sacrifice and extreme courage and will be remembered for ever. It was on this day when Kuldeep Verma sacrificed his life for just cause. He will remain a guiding force for centuries to come.
He said that Kuldeep Verma joined the land row agitation and registered his sacrifice in row of Saheed Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, Rajguru, Chandershekhar Azad, Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookherjee, Satish Bhandari, Rucher Kumar, Swami Raj Katal, Tika Lal Taploo and many others.
“Last will of Kuldeep Verma will always glow our path. Justice O.P. Sharma has tracked a long distance and crossed many obstacles and now has reached at a final stage of argument and decision,” said Arora .
“We have approached commission to summon the senior officer of police and administration at the particular time who gave the instruction to lift the body and dispose off. Media person were also beaten in mid night and were stopped illegally. We remember the days when British government instructed to cremate Sardar Bhagat Singh and others during mid night the same in followed by state government and state government cannot absolve from responsibility,” said Arora adding, we have full faith and trust in commission and truth will prevail and justice will be done.
Case is represented in commission by a battery of Lawyers led by him, L.K. Sharma, Sunil Sethi, Rajesh Thapa, Sunil Malhotra, Surinder Singh, S.S. Nanda, Chander Mohan Sharma, Yash Koushal, K.K. Proach and many others.
Commission has recorded statement of many witnesses including Keshav Chaurisia (SP), Preetam Singh Dy. SP, Baram Dev Singh SHO, Preetam Singh Katoch, Dy. SP, Jatinder Singh SHO, Mohan Lal Kaith, Dy. SP, Swantar Arora, Preetam, Tehsildar settlement, Randeep Singh, SP City and many others, he informed
Commission also recorded statement of Shilpi Verma, Nirmal Singh, Leela Karan Sharma, Surinder Kumar, Naryan Dutt, Shrawan Nand Giri Mahant, Suman Vaid, Rajinder Singh, Gansham, Satish Kumar and many others.
He said that everybody has a right to share information with commission with prior consent of commission.
Commission has to give finding about the circumstance of alleged suicide by Kuldeep Verma and disrespect shown to dead body, cremation of body at Bishnah against the wishes of family, as per the terms of reference and has to fix up responsibility, he said.
