| Sohail to face Kamal in Billiards final | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 05: Sohail Khalid shall take on Kamal Rohmetra in the final of senior billiards event in the ongoing Jammu District Open Billiards and Snooker Championship at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium here.
Earlier, in the semi-finals, played today, Kamal defeated Jaideep Manocha in straight frames, while Sohail outplayed Kuldeep Sharma, again in straight but close frames.
The Results: Semifinals: Kamal Rohmetra bt Jaideep Manocha 3-0 (100-85, 100-65, 100-29); Sohail Khalid bt Kuldeep Sharma 3-0 (100-92, 100-98, 100-97).
Earlier in the quarterfinals, Jaideep Manocha defeated Mohit Mahajan while Kuldeep Sharma outplayed Vishal Abrol to reach the last four stages. Today’s matches were officiated by Surjit Singh Baloria and Rakesh.
Meanwhile, according to the organizers, J&K Billiards and Snooker Association, the junior billiards as well as junior snooker finals shall take place tomorrow from 12 noon
onwards.
