| Basketball: Model Academy, MHAC Nagbani lift titles | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 05: Model Academy and MHAC Nagbani clinched under-14 and under-17 titles respectively in the two-day inter-school girls’ basketball tournament of Jammu district, organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at Mini Stadium, Parade, here today.
In the under-14 final, Model Academy trounced KC Public School 4-2 in a low scoring game.
Later, in undr-17 title clash, MHAC Nagbani overpowered Army School Domana by identical score of 4-2. Earlier, in the semi-finals, Nagbani defeated Army School Jammu Cantonment 18-02 in a one-sided contest while Army School Domana registered a 12-01 win over Jodhamal Public School.
Today’s matches were officiated by the penal of referees including Tarseem Singh, Vishal Bharati, Vaneet Pangotra, Dheeraj Pal, Rajesh Bandral, Sham Sharma, Gurdeep Singh, Jyoti Sharma, Satika Sharma and Ravinder Singh.
