| Yatra arrangements discussed | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 5: To discuss the arrangements related to Amarnath Yatra 2011, a meeting was convened under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Syed Kifayta Hussain Rizvi.
The Deputy Commissioner discussed various matters with the Civil and Police administration with a view to ensuring timely arrangements for the ensuing Shri Amarnathji Yatra, statrting from June of this year.
He stressed the need for greater synergy and coordination between the Civil Administration, Police, Security Forces, Shrine Board authorities and each of the various concerned departments for ensuring that the required arrangements are in place well in time.
In the meeting all the aspects related to the Commencement of Yatra, Accommodation/transport for Sadhus, transportation of yatries, security arrangements, Communication Centre at Yatri Niwas, medical facility, sanitation/cleanliness/mobile toilet vans, traffic arrangements, tourist Information Centre, food court, water supply arrangements, electricity, tour and travel centre and other yatra related arrangements were discussed in length.
The meeting was attended by SSP Ananntnag R.K Jala, Cheif Execative Phalgam Development Authority , officers from J&K Bank, R&B, PWD, Health, Traffic and Police
