Gujar Mahasbha appreciates recent Panchyat elections

Jammu, May 5: A meeting of Akhil Bhartiya Gujar Mahasabha, J&K, was convened at Jammu and the idea about the recent Panchyat Elections was
discussed in detail.
The members of the Gujar Community showed its solidarity with the
coalition Govt. in the State and told that the development in the far
flung areas will now go with brisk pace when the works are done
through the people for whom the development works under various
schemes in the respective districts are being carried out.
A very high turnover in the voting in the thickly populated Gujar
areas in the state showed their willingness to do good for their
community by electing the persons of integrity.
Ishfaq-Ur-Rehman, president, felt a sense of good omen and expected to
work with zeal in implementing the various Govt. developments works in
their respective areas so that benefit reaches to the ultimate poor
person in the community. This is a golden chance to help the Govt. to
remove the difference between the developed and the under developed
people in the community.
The president told that in the recent Panchyat elections the Gujar
community will come with a thunder bolt by electing the record number
of Panchas and Sarpanchas during the last 50 years.
He also said the present reservation policy of the Govt in Panchyat
Elections for Gujar community will pay a very dividend in showing an
era of development for the first time in the far flung areas and that
too with the full consent of the local people.
