| DCC holds meeting, calls for strengthening Cong | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 5:
A meeting of District Congress Committee (DCC) office bearers was held under the chairmanship of Ex MLA and president District Congress Committee Jammu Urban, Om Chopra, here today.
The focus of the meeting was to stream line, strengthen and reunite the Congress workers at the grass root level.
In the meeting every leader said that the party should be strengthened at the grass root level. It was decided that the block president should convene a party meeting once in a month of all party workers of the block. It has also been decided that Block president should convene ward meeting in a week in every ward of his block. A senior
Distt. Office bearer will coordinate and held the block president in constitution ward/ block committees. It has also been felt that there is no congress MLA in Jammu West, East, Raipur Domana and Nagrota constituencies, this has created vacuum between public and suggested that a committee of Dist. Office bearers from the respective constituencies be constituted to represent and to bring there problems to the notice of higher authorities for redressal.
A two minutes silence was observed to condole the demise of Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh.
The meeting also condoled the death of Thakur Mohan Singh father of Pritam Singh general secretary of DCC Jammu rural.
